Farmers looking to diversify or implement innovative products can get all the information they need from Wynnstay Specialists attending the Innovation and Diversification event, at the Royal Welsh Showground on Thursday, September 26. New technologies and ideas, such as Wynnstay’s revolutionary CracklessEgg™ technology will be among the latest trends and opportunities in science to assist you in your businesses.

Our Poultry Team will be present to discuss diversification into poultry and how the CracklessEgg™ can help you to save hundreds and even thousands of pounds in wasted, cracked eggs on your poultry farms.

Meanwhile, the focus for our Dairy Team Specialists will be innovation in the livestock industry and the Wynnstay products that are keeping you at the cutting edge of farming.

This free event will provide you with plenty of support, advice and guidance, to improve your businesses and allow you to explore new ideas to improve both profitability and sustainability on-farm.

Our specialists will be on hand to deal with any of your queries at the Wynnstay stand, which is one of many trade stands from leading agricultural companies at the event, being held at the Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, from 10am to 4pm.

This popular event is likely to appeal to you, if you are looking to diversify your business, or if you would like to explore how to improve business sustainability and profitability, through innovation and technology.

There will also be guidance on how to develop and fund your business ideas, so that you can leave the day with a plan in place.

Speakers include Catherine Price, a red meat and poultry expert, who will discuss Growing a family farming business in Wales.

Cath and her family operate a mixed farming system in Meifod near Welshpool in Powys, made up of pedigree sheep, an organic dairy herd and 64,000 free-range laying hens. They have also invested in a renewable energy enterprise and created a new woodland.

Catherine was previously an agriculture manager with Co-op Food UK and also part of the agriculture team with McDonald’s UK. She is currently involved with a number of industry programmes including Farming Connect’s Agri Academy and the NFU’s Poultry Industry Programme.

The main event arena will be the South Glamorgan Hall with free on-site parking available at the showground. There will be onsite refreshments available in the show arena.

Entry as a visitor to Innovation and Diversification Wales is free, however you can register your interest in attending here.
